Injection Pain

I got my SI Joint Injection on Monday, along with an injection in my Piriformis muscle which unfortunately is causing additional radiating pain down my leg.  It’s frustrating being in even more pain than before the injection, and it’s hard to differentiate the injection pain from my actual pain level.  As the week goes by pain is supposed to get better and relief should set in.  If not, I will be trying another injection in a few weeks.  Until then I have to continue to rest and ice the injection.  Instead of an ice pack, a friend of mine suggested a water and rubbing alcohol concoction: freeze 3 cups of water and 1 cup of alcohol in a freezer bag…try it, it works great.
